That's why we have a fantastic new opportunity for a Senior Manager, Business Operations Performance Deliveryto help us get to where we're going. You will bring know-how and passion to our family of door-opening brands, including British Gas and Hive and you'll join a team who are just as focused delivering on fantastic results as you are.

Location: With our Flexible First working arrangements we empower our colleagues to work in a way that best suits them - meaning location doesn't need to be a barrier. This role will be mostly based at home with occasional meetings across our sites each month as you will deem appropriate.

The Senior Manager, Business Operations Performance Delivery is a unique role accountable for guiding improvement across, and assuring the effective governance and execution of, the British Gas Field Services and Solutions operational business plan in order to deliver material benefits to the P&L, whilst delivering for our customers.

What will you do?

  • Draw on well evidenced application of operational, commercial and financial skillsets, to investigate and improve operational delivery of its business plan, cutting through barriers real and perceived to deliver material value to the bottom line - working closely with our Financial colleagues to realise value within the P&L.

  • Be an expert at establishing effective governance and assurance models that drive lean operational control and performance, and is effective at engaging and collaborating with senior stakeholders, to make improvements to way those models are delivered.

  • Bring strong leadership skills with the gravitas to effectively represent and direct owned initiatives and explain their purpose, the ability to influence a diverse stakeholder base - comfortable handling objections and negotiating a way forward.

  • Take accountability for the successful execution of assigned operational enablement initiatives - and material benefits realisation, typically through a series of complex, scale (national workforce spanning up to 10,000 colleagues), internal and external changes, to timeline and budget, ensuring return on investment is delivered in line with committed outcomes.

  • Collaborate with all areas of the business including supporting functions to align operational enablement scope, impact, budget, plan etc across wide-ranging interconnected change.

Drawing on operational, commercial and financial skillsets, the role will analyse and improve the operational efficiency of our business plan. You will bring expertise at establishing effective governance and assurance models that drive lean operational control and continuous performance improvement, and you shall be effective at engaging and collaborating at all levels of the organisation to make improvements to the way those models are delivered.
