This role has a starting salary of £66,774 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week.

About the Team
You will be part of the Adult Social Care Commissioning service, whose focus is to deliver our challenging strategic commissioning strategies whilst ensuring financial efficiency. To do so it is important that you can form effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and partners, that you have an eye for detail and can make decisions based on evidence.
The post is a rare opportunity to be situated at the heart of the Directorate's growing focus on contract and relationship management. The Contract and Commissioning Support Service is at the forefront of this change, you will need to be able to lead others with your energy, enthusiasm and 'can-do' approach.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated professional who can enhance our team whilst we strive to support front line social care teams and the service users they support.
This is a role that will be critical to driving longer term strategy across the department. You will have a crucial role in promoting the importance and emphasis on building healthy and positive provider relationships within the Adult, Health and Wellbeing directorate has on ensuring future market sustainability. The sub-team you will lead provides guidance and support on commercial and contractual challenges, issues or education.
You will be an important part of our approach to contract and relationship management for some of the Directorate's biggest countywide contracts, and the delivery of a Contract Management Framework that is integral to Adult Social Cares market management approach with a focus on strategic and critical providers.
You will be commercially aware and skilled in negotiations with large corporate providers, but also able to adapt to work with small local providers. You will be confident to challenge to ensure good quality outcomes and value for money in the delivery of our commissioning intentions. You also will have a sound understanding of commissioning, procurement and contract management, preferably in the public sector.

- Procurement or Contract knowledge or experience
- Ability to lead a team and deliver under pressure
- Understanding of the importance of Relationship and Market Management
- Excellent interpersonal skills along with relationship development abilities
- Ability to take on responsibility, use your own initiative and be comfortable in managing your own priorities within the set procedures and processes whilst also supporting a small team of brokers
- Understanding of working with highly confidential information in a customer focused environment.
