JOB TITLE:Senior Manager - Distribution Retention
SALARY: £71,825 - £84,500 (national) / £85,255 - £100,300 (London)
LOCATION:Flexible
HOURS:Full time
WORKING PATTERN:Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

Through our Black Horse and Lex Autolease brands, we have a crucial role in supporting the UK transition to Net Zero, as consumers and businesses finance and lease electric vehicles through us and our intermediaries. Our vision is to evolve beyond Finance and Leasing to becoming a market leader in Transport in the UK, and we have the investment and backing to take us there.
Working closely with the Director of Consumer Distribution, as part of the Distribution leadership team, you’ll be instrumental in defining and aligning the Transport retention strategy. Ultimately, you’ll deliver an outstanding retention capability for all Transport Channels.
Leading a newly established function, you’ll build capability to deliver market leading customer and partner propositions. Your accountabilities will include:
  • Working across Transport to ensure customer retention is considered a key element of the customer journey across all channels.
  • Seeking opportunities to collaborate across the broader Consumer Lending team, to deliver value add for both customers, LBG and its partners.
  • Creating a consistent understanding of retention and ensuring retention performance is accurately monitored and has the correct visibility across the senior leadership team.
  • Maintaining up to date understanding of the external market environment, including technology capabilities, competitors, market trends and best practise activities.
  • Managing suppliers with strategic capabilities and associated integrations within Transport digital capabilities
  • Ensuring that Retention is actively considered in distribution teams and that intermediary and OEM Retention training is actively promoted as a value-adding service provision.

Collaboration will be key to your success, as you work with the communication teams to ensure all customers get consistent and transparent communications about their finance product and renewal options. You’ll also working consistently across all platform teams, to develop a digital renewals roadmap.
The role will require regular travel as you’ll be visiting intermediary partners and OEMs on-site, as well as meeting colleagues in one of our hub offices on a frequent basis.

What you’ll need
  • Significant experience of working in Automotive Finance, in either a Sales or Customer facing leadership position
  • First-hand practical experience of supplier management within the Automotive or Financial Services sectors, which includes designing and delivering learning/training interventions for suppliers
  • Able to confidently articulate the different approaches to Retention through active engagement and finding partnership opportunities, that promote good customer outcomes and commercial benefits
  • With exceptional customer-centricity, you can demonstrate a successful track record in CRM leadership roles
  • Comfortable communicating at all levels, you’re a great networker and able to work with and influence a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, using compelling arguments and negotiation to gain support and commitment
  • Adept at solving complex problems, you make sense of complicated information, approach problems with imagination and curiosity, and enjoy using your numeracy and analytical skills to identify trends and solutions.
