Main responsibilities
Maintain and evolve LSEG's Sustainability Policy and Governance Framework to align with good practice, regulatory requirements and other applicable LSEG Policies.
Support the Group Head of Sustainability to ensure the LSEG Board, subsidiary boards and LSEG Executive Committee receive appropriate management information and reports on LSEG's Sustainability Strategy. Additionally ensure the effective running of relevant sustainability-related governance forums, principally the Sustainability Committee and the Climate Transition Steering Committee.
Collaborating with LSEG Legal & Compliance and external advisers as needed, build and maintain a register of applicable sustainability-related legal requirements and ensure accountable business stakeholders understand internal requirements and controls and maintain effective management and oversight.
Act as the key the point of contact between the Group Sustainability Team and the Group Risk Function; maintain the Sustainability Team's Risk Register and associated Internal Controls; lead on Sustainability-related elements of the Risk and Control Assessment (RCA) process.
Sustainability Programmes: Support the Group Head of Sustainability to supervise progress of sustainability programmes and priorities to advise decision-making and strategic direction.
Ensure appropriate sustainability-related due diligence is conducted on prospective acquisitions and third party partners where required.
Support the Group Head of Sustainability to plan, manage and monitor the sustainability budget and third-party vendors.
