Our client is a leading pressure vessel manufacturer, with a reputation for industry leading standards. Due to continued customer growth they are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer.
Role & Responsibilities:
- To provide project and Manufacturing Process Engineering expertise to facilitate New Product Introduction (NPI) and to lead productivity projects against existing processes.
- To enhance and expand the production capabilities of the company through identifying and implementing automation solutions for both new and existing products, with a primary focus to be on cutting, forming and welding processes to optimise production capacity and to manage the capital expenditure of agreed automation solutions.
- Identify and lead productivity improvement projects within the Manufacturing Process, working closely with the Production and Quality departments
- Design, develop, optimise and maintain processes
- Create Engineering Specifications specifications for production tooling, jigs and fixtures
- Proactively identify and evaluate automation solutions to improve efficiency
- Perform necessary process validations and other quality system documentation
- Prepare documentation for all new product introductions and process changes
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- This is a Senior position and requires a candidate who is ready for the challenge!
- You must have 5 years+ in a Manufacturing Process Engineer role
- You should have an Engineering Qualification
- A knowledge of Pressure Vessels would be advantageous
- A knowledge of Welding and Fabrications is desirable
