Job description

Based in either London or Winchester, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious Marketing Automation professional to join a Leading Firm of Actuaries as a Marketing Automation Executive or Senior Executive.

The successful applicant will be joining a well-respected, successful and growing marketing and business development department which leads and implements all marketing, sales and client development programmes within the firm and plays a key role in developing and delivering the firm’s strategy. Reporting into the CRM Manager, this role sits within the Marketing Operations team, which is comprised of six people, and will be responsible for driving the success of Marketing Automation and supporting the implementation and ongoing use of Marketo. The firm have recently committed to Marketo as a key part of their technical strategy and you will be a critical part of ensuring its success, adoption, day to day management, ongoing development and user support. Establishing close working relationships with the core Marketing Operations team and the wider Business Development team, you will manage Marketing Automation efforts and processes, proactively researching and implementing the latest best practices, strategies and industry standards. Supporting Marketo users with queries, the role holder will be tasked with the day to day running of the system including creating and managing forms, landing pages and nuture programmes and must ensure that all Marketo workspaces, templates and integrations meet the requirements of the team, with agency support where necessary. Working with the wider marketing team to design the email marketing strategy, you will be responsible for its execution, including segmentation, testing and deployment. You will be required to continually evaluate and review to ensure the firm is creating effective and engaging emails, including overseeing email deliverability rates, and will be expected to understand and evaluate campaign metrics, develop benchmarks and support the reporting of campaign performance. In addition, the Marketing Automation Executive or Senior Executive will support the CRM Manager to integrate Marketo with the CRM and develop lead generation and management initiatives, such as managing the lead lifecycle, lead scoring, lead nurturing, segmentation and data cleansing to help the team identify and allocate new business leads.

A bright and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about Marketing Automation, the chosen candidate will be a highly proactive and motivated individual with proven experience in a Marketo focused role, preferably gained within B2B professional or financial services, to include demonstrable success in building templates, managing workspaces and designing nurture programmes. Detail focused and driven about data quality and process, the Marketing Automation Executive or Senior Executive will be a process innovator that brings, and is willing to drive, new ideas and processes and support a drive for efficiency across the Business Development team and great data usage across the firm. · A good understanding of GDPR, Digital Privacy regulations and Marketing Automation best practice will be essential, whilst previous experience working with Power BI, Visio and wider Marketing Technology, including CRM, will be highly advantageous.
