We’re on the hunt for an established Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who is looking to take their career up a notch. You’ll be immersed in a design environment, using your established product development skillset to get yourself up to speed, with a view of transitioning into a more project and people-oriented role.

What will I be doing?
As their Senior Mechanical Development Engineer, you’ll be supporting the development of a range of laser systems, automation components, and manufacturing cells.
You’ll be a key member of the design team, getting your hands dirty throughout the entire product lifecycle, and providing input from prototyping to production. You’ll use your 2D and 3D CAD experience to contribute to the mechanical product design and prototyping phases, including supporting laser manufacturing applications development with Tannlin systems, and for new market opportunities.
You’ll have the opportunity to test, evaluate, and analyse your designs, working closely with the team to ensure they meet the customer’s requirements. Your previous development experience will help you get up to speed with their product line and customers, and your advice and input will be key to providing guidance and support to the team and customers.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- A degree (BEng or Similar) related to Mechanical Engineering.
- Several years of high-quality experience in a Mechanical design role
- Proven experience in an industrial environment, ideally within manufacturing.
- Excellent 2D and 3D CAD abilities, ideally in SolidWorks.
- Great customer-facing capabilities.
- Experience of working to deadlines and supporting products throughout the development lifecycle.
- The ability to reasonably commute to the role’s location.
- The ability to accommodate ad-hoc travel to customer sites.
