Job DescriptionKey Information * A refurbishment and fit out company who design and create extraordinary spaces are looking for an in house Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Manchester * They are looking for someone who focus’ on quality and detail and a great communicator to join their teamThe Role * Build and lead a Mechanical design team who are responsible for the self-delivery of undertake mechanical design for commercial office/leisure projects – up to £3m in value * Undertake the design of mechanical services, either from a site survey or scheme report, drafting drawings, undertaking calculations and production of specifications * Undertake and lead mechanical services design projects * Work together with in house contract managers and project managers to represent this company in meetings * Undertake defects inspections and issue appropriate certifications * Continue to develop your own, as well as junior staff members CPD activities * Provide technical support to mechanical trade packages on site to ensure smooth delivery of the projectQualifications / Experience * Fully competent and experience within the Building services design industry * Previous experience working in a similar role and performing the above duties * Must have either a degree in Building services or be able to demonstrate qualification through experience * Must be fully conversant with ACAD and have interest in moving towards REVIT MEP * Experience of undertaking BRUKL/SBEM calculations on IES or similar * Takes ownership and responsibility of your workload * Great communicator * Used to multi-tasking and working on multiple projects that are all at different stages * Must be a self-starter * Hold a Full UK Drivers licenceSalary/benefits package * Competitive salary * Colleague incentive plan - company bonus * Company pension up to 8% matched * Healthcare cash plan with Westfield * Colleague referral scheme * Holiday days per annum, plus bank holidays * Allocation of sick leave, dependant on length of service * Group life assurance, 4x annual salary * Extra days holiday on your birthday * Enhanced maternity/paternity leaveHow to Apply? * If you're interested please call Alice Clarke on (phone number removed) or apply onlineBy submitting your job application to Ionic Recruitment, you are hereby giving us your consent to use your personal data for recruitment purposes detailed in the GDPR Policy Document.
