Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

The opportunity to deliver a key role within Glasgow City Council’s Property and Consulting Services department. 
The post holder will lead the Mechanical Engineering design and delivery of capital and maintenance projects for various members of the Glasgow Family.  The post holder will report to the Grade 8 Assistant group manager.
You will work on projects from feasibility stage, through design , construction, commission, and handover, under the guidance of the Assistant group manager.
You will have working knowledge of technical standards and CIBSE guides 
Experience of design HVAC / Building Services to include pipe sizing, duct sizing, plant sizing, specification writing and liaison with utility providers. 
Coordination with architects, structural engineers, PQS, CDM and internal (CAD, Revit).
Attending design team and progress meetings
Experience of AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation preferred.
