Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their Norwich (Norfolk) based office.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be providing Mechanical Engineering support to our client by providing expertise in Mechanical Engineering and deign and project management responsibilities.
Responsibilities
• Ensure that all projects are completed to a high technical standard.
• Carry out fee earning work.
• Complete tasks as assigned by the team leader including assisting in the formation of sound engineer and providing cost effective solutions.
• Meet with clients to establish project briefs and budget costs.
• Draw up detailed specifications and drawings against client’s briefs.
• Project Manage site works against specification requirements
• Carry out inspections of existing installations and submit condition reports
• Develop Energy Strategies to adopt appropriate sustainable and low carbon mechanical design systems
• Use thermal modelling software and CAD including AutoCAD and Revit.
Skills/Experience
• A degree in Engineering
• Member of the Chartered institute of Building Services Engineers and/or The Energy Institute (Or equivalent)
• Chartered Engineer Status or approaching
• Full driving license and access to a vehicle
• Use of IES (Mechanical) design software
• Use of AutoCAD and Revit
• Familiar with relevant legislation, codes of practice, CIBSE guides, and building regulations.
