Job Responsibilities:

•            At the direction of a Lead Engineer or Project Manager, assist in the design, analysis and modification of products for assigned projects

•            Prepare design calculations and specifications.

•            Develop test procedures, conduct tests, and complete test result analysis for assigned projects.

•            Assist in handling field and manufacturing problems to maintain and improve products and services.

•            Incorporate Reliability, HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the design process.

•            Job tasks impact directly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability, and operations.

•            Prepare design reviews

•            Guide others on engineers tools, test specifications and assesses application of HSE techniques during the design process.

 

 

Qualifications/Skills:

•            Skills typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline, and 4 years of related experience.

•            Knowledge of oilfield equipment, particularly completions tools and electromechanical tools experience desired.

•            Proficient with SolidWorks or similar CAD package.

•            Good understanding of FEA and CFD outputs and their limitations.

•            Knowledge of reliability techniques.

•            Basic understanding of machining techniques .

•            in depth knowledge of tolerance studies.

•            Knowledge of oilfield materials (metals and elastomers) and coatings.

•            Working knowledge of test techniques, test design and safety factors.

•            Proficient in self-management within a team environment:

o            Time Management: The ability to allocate time efficiently, set priorities, and meet deadlines without constant supervision.

o            Task Organization: Being able to plan and organize individual tasks and responsibilities in a way that aligns with the team's objectives.

o            Decision-making: Making informed decisions independently when required, while also considering the impact on the team and its goals.

o            Adaptability: Being flexible and adaptable to changes in the team environment, adjusting individual efforts to contribute positively to the team's progress.

o            Communication: Effectively communicating progress, challenges, and contributions to the team, ensuring transparency and collaboration.

 

Desirables:

•            Experience with applicable industry standards such as API, ISO or AWES regulatory requirements

•            Knowledge of oilfield equipment, particularly completions tools and electromechanical tools experience desired
