We are currently recruiting for one of the UK’s Leading FMCG companies who are looking for a Senior Media Relations Manager. It’s an exciting new opportunity to work for a recognised leading company specialising in Retail and Digital E-commerce, they offer an outstanding experience for users by making their services/products easily accessible online, anywhere, anytime and on any device!

Main Responsibilities of a Senior Media Relations Manager

  • Assist the Corporate Communications team in strengthening and upholding our corporate reputation with the media, third parties, and other key external stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage reputational risks and corporate issues of public concern.
  • Reduce negative media coverage and promptly rectify any inaccuracies, where possible.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in developing, planning, executing, and achieving communications strategies and objectives, along with conducting media campaigns.
  • Extensive experience in daily media liaison, confidently interacting with and briefing journalists in various formats - face-to-face, orally, and in writing.
  • Demonstrable skill in effectively managing complex media issues, especially potentially negative ones, within a commercial and highly scrutinised environment.
  • Proven ability to rapidly produce high-quality, impactful, and persuasive written materials.
