Main Responsibilities of a Senior Media Relations Manager
- Assist the Corporate Communications team in strengthening and upholding our corporate reputation with the media, third parties, and other key external stakeholders.
- Identify and manage reputational risks and corporate issues of public concern.
- Reduce negative media coverage and promptly rectify any inaccuracies, where possible.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in developing, planning, executing, and achieving communications strategies and objectives, along with conducting media campaigns.
- Extensive experience in daily media liaison, confidently interacting with and briefing journalists in various formats - face-to-face, orally, and in writing.
- Demonstrable skill in effectively managing complex media issues, especially potentially negative ones, within a commercial and highly scrutinised environment.
- Proven ability to rapidly produce high-quality, impactful, and persuasive written materials.
