Senior .NET Engineer *Hybrid - Bicester*

Robert Half Technology is delighted to have partnered with a multi-disciplinary consultancy based just outside of Oxford (Bicester, ideally twice a week on-site) to recruit a Senior .NET Engineer. The team will continue to expand over the next year, with the plan for this person to take on some management responsibility as new hires are brought on board (you'll continue to stay primarily hands-on with development). Role

As a Senior .NET Engineer, you will be at the heart of the business' digital transformation, building a number of applications for process automation and play a critical role in the entire innovation process. You will take ownership of the applications created and have the opportunity to influence the business approach to development processes and technologies implemented. Some key responsibilities will be as follows:

• Get involved in the design and development of applications, implementing best practices.
• Advise on optimal solution architecture to meet application requirements.
• Dive into existing core systems and advise on areas for improvement.
• Work in conjunction with third party development partners to bring development tasks inhouse.
• Use expertise in latest technologies and development tools to influence the long-term digital strategy.
• Communicate with a range of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
• Gradually take on management responsibilities for more junior developers as the team grows.

Competencies:

• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and other divisions within the business.
• Positive "can do" attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Proactive approach to your work and autonomous working.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Technical skills:

• Strong background in C#/.NET application development.
• Experience with SharePoint development.
• Full-stack skillset, including proficient usage of JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with the entire SDLC.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of the Azure platform, with specific experience in ADF, Synapse, Azure SQL DB, Azure Web Apps, Azure Dev Ops, and Azure AI services
• Experience of building low code canvas, model and portal driven applications using the Microsoft Power Platform suite

Salary & Benefits

The Senior .NET Engineer will receive a salary of up to £65,000, plus excellent benefits including hybrid working (ideally twice a week in Bicester), up to 8% annual performance-based bonus, private healthcare, electric vehicle scheme and more.
