We are looking for a Senior NetOps Engineer you will assist in the design of Infrastructure services in collaboration with Architecture and Engineering principles.

As a Senior NetOps Engineer you will have the ongoing responsibility for the full range of products that make up Network Services.

The role will involve creating and developing our DevOps/ NetOps culture in the team as we transition to new ways of working.

Working in collaboration with a range of internal/external partners, stakeholders and customers you will ensure the operational stability, robustness, resilience, availability, and quality of DWP Networks.

You will actively manage the work backlog and develop reliability improvements as well as leading initiatives to develop the automation of low-value tasks balanced against project delivery demands.

What skills, knowledge and experience do I need?

  • The ability to design, implement, administer, and support infrastructure technologies, solutions and services such as: AWS and Azure
  • Ensures that the right actions are taken to investigate, resolve and anticipate Network problems.
  • Takes accountability of issues that occur and is proactive in searching for potential problems.
  • Significant experience with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code, CI/CD pipelines. Gitlab, Ansible, Python, Terraform.
