Job Title: Senior Network Engineer - Security
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of our network systems.
Responsibilities:
Network Design and Implementation:
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and efficient network solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance network capabilities.
Network Security:
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to safeguard the organization's network infrastructure.
- Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Network Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to maximize efficiency.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential network bottlenecks or connectivity issues.
Collaboration and Team Leadership:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align network solutions accordingly.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior Network Engineers.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Generate regular reports on network performance and present findings to stakeholders.
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with vendors to evaluate, select, and implement hardware and software solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Capacity Planning:
- Conduct capacity planning to anticipate future network needs and propose necessary upgrades.
- Recommend improvements to existing infrastructure to accommodate growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on senior-level responsibilities.
- Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and security best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail orientated
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) concepts.
- Familiarity with network automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python).
- Project management skills for overseeing network-related projects.
