Working on a host of project around Cisco network design and new site installs alongside BAU support this is a great opportunity to get involved in a healthy mix of project and support work.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and document secure and scalable network architectures using Cisco technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize network devices to meet business needs and SLAs
- Perform routine network maintenance tasks, including software updates and security patching
- Monitor network performance, identify potential issues, and proactively resolve problems
- Document network configurations and procedures
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure seamless network integration with applications and services#
What experience do you need?
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS and configuration best practices
- Experience with network design methodologies
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to have;
- Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Bash) is a plus.
- Familiarity with network security best practices and experience with security technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems) is highly desirable.
- Possession of relevant industry certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent, is a strong advantage.
