With previous experience from the NHS or private care as a Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD), you will lead and coordinate the quality and management of nursing care, service user care and the clinical environment. 

As a Senior Nurse, you will be responsible for the clinical environment as you provide leadership to your peers and manage the clinical services throughout the wards and units.

What you will be doing

As a Registered Nurse (RNLD, RMN), you will ensure adults with mental health conditions receive high-quality care, while also supporting your colleagues and promote good teamwork.

Where you will be working 

Location: Bennett’s Lane, Widnes, Warrington, WA8 0GT

You will be working at the Gateway Recovery Centre, a state-of-the-art facility, providing care for men and women with complex mental health requirements to reduce risk behaviors associated with mental health conditions so that people in your care can ultimately live successful and fulfilling lives within the community.

The service is split into four distinct areas:

  • Male Autism Service for the challenging and complex needs of adults with Autism and Asperger’s syndrome
  •  Assessment and rehabilitation for women with complex mental health needs and personality difficulties
  • Specialist inpatient service for older men with complex mental health and physical health needs.
  • Low secure care setting for men with a mental illness with or without personality disorder/mild learning disabilities

You will be working alongside the team with the aim to improve the mental health and wellbeing of service users, to help them develop and maintain healthy relationships with others. 

Things you will have. 

  • Must have at least two years Support Worker experience in the UK
  • The ability to show strong empathy, a caring and compassionate nature.
  • People skills, communication skills and a good sense of humour
  • Willingness to deal with the challenging behaviour.
