Provide advice to managers, employees and their representatives on issues relating to Occupational Health supported by the multidisciplinary Occupational Health team if necessary. Carrying out sickness absence management and report writing. Caseload management.Assess the need for, co-ordinate and undertake periodic health surveillance for Trust and client organisations, at the clients own site when required, while maintaining a high standard of professional expertise and advise the Occupational Health Manager or Physician of any areas of concern.Assist in health promotion activities, advising individuals on issues such as smoking cessation and lifestyle screening. Provide initial confidential support and advice for employees following incidents such as inoculation injuries, substance abuse, bereavement, stress, infection control, violence to staff etc and refer onto appropriate support services.Triage of Occupational Health correspondence.Be the named nurse for selected client groups attending meetings as required.Ensure that adequate supplies of vaccines and other sundries are maintained within the Occupational Health Department and satellite clinics
