Senior Occupational Therapist

As a Senior Occupational Therapist at the London Borough of Tower Hamletsl you will become an integral part of a welcoming and collaborative team. We are in search of an individual with excellent communication skills, capable of establishing and nurturing relationships with colleagues, service users, and healthcare providers. The client offers a full-time contract with an opportunity to work from home, a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio. The vacancy will be for an initial 3 - 6 months with potential for extension.

Main Duties for the Senior Occupational Therapist includes.

• Required to coordinate a project to review bed rails and produce new risk assessments which have been provided to service users within LBTH.
• As part of this role, you will be responsible of budgets, risk reduction plans, prescription and authorisation of daily living equipment including minor and major adaptations and clinical supervision of staff.
• You will work within the legal framework provided by the statute, guidance, policies, and procedures.
• Within your duties of Senior Occupational Therapist you will be required for provided supervision to the Occupational Therapists and Social Care Coordinators within the team.
• Excellent knowledge, skills and experience with assessing for and making recommendations for major adaptations and complex equipment. Including preparing sketches, reading plans and providing detailed specifications for major works.

To Be Successful.

• Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in the community.
• Previous experience working with major adaptations.
• Complex manual handling experience.
• HCPC Registration.
• Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Occupational Therapist Qualification.
