Our Operations Team are the central point between the Front Office, Risk & Compliance and the Customer. The team are responsible for the oversight of governance of our Third-Party Administrators such as Northern Trust and Bloomberg.
We’re now looking for a Senior Operations Analyst to support us with oversight and governance of these service providers. A particular focus of this role will be to assist and build out the performance oversight and reporting of our Alternative and Real Estate propositions.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll maintain and monitor Alternative asset investments and portfolios, analyse and produce portfolio returns and analysis for internal and external distribution. Additionally, you will assist the broader Operations team to organise / assist in the coordination of back / middle office projects. You’ll be responsible for daily activities to ensure the oversight and governance of fund performance and ensure accuracy of Custodians performance, attribution and reporting. You’ll carry out first line compliance reporting and monitoring and daily reconciliation of portfolio positions, identifying 'breaks’ and reacting to resolve accordingly.
As Senior Operations Analyst, you’ll also be involved in cash management of settled and forecast cash balances, raising queries and making adjustments where necessary. You’ll deputise for the Operations Manager when required and oversee the activities of the Operations Analysts to ensure accuracy.
We’re looking for someone who holds an undergraduate degree or significant, relevant Alternative investment performance experience, gained within an asset management company or similar. You’ll have a good understanding of financial instruments (particularly private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real estate with a good knowledge of equities and fixed income also of benefit) along with some knowledge of financial information and management systems.
The role provides an excellent opportunity to shape the performance oversight of our Alternative asset investment book. Experience of supporting investment performance and holdings analytics through the MSCI/Burgiss Private i platform is a plus.
