The Community Equipment Service (CES) provides a range of equipment and services to Health and Social Care customers to enable people in Cumberland to continue to live at home and to remain independent for as long as possible.
The service we deliver is fast paced, challenging and makes a real difference to people’s lives.
We now have an exciting opportunity to join our team at Maryport.
Based in our Maryport depot, you will have responsibility for ensuring the right product, in the right condition is delivered and installed to our customers in an appropriate and caring way. Key tasks include:
- Supervising the activities of our Driver Technicians and Operations Technicians
- Identifying training requirements
- Management of assets used to support the operation such as plant, fleet, work equipment etc.
- Meeting operational KPI’s and standards
- Coordinating warehouse activities to ensure stock availability.
- Ensuring safe working practices are followed
Whilst specific product knowledge is not an essential requirement of the role, having some understanding of the functions and use of disability related equipment would be an advantage, as is maintenance and repair experience.
Normal hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm (4.00pm Friday) but you will be required to be part of an on-call rota to provide management support to our out of hours team usually on a 1 in 3 weekly basis.
