We are looking for a Senior Operator to join our team in Boston, Lincolnshire
Distribution Senior Operator (Metsa DIY Distribution)

As part of our site DIY Distribution Team you will be responsible for picking customer orders and the loading of vehicles. This will involve use of MHE (counter-balance) and RF equipment. The role involves a high awareness of site safety, and requires proactive involvement towards site standards. This role requires working shift patterns and the chosen individuals will report into the relevant Shift Leader.
Overview
As an Inbound Senior Operator you will be required to carry out the following:
- Picking orders of various items and volumes to a high degree of accuracy
- Loading vehicles accurately and in a timely manner
- Unloading of product to relevant bin locations
- Handling products of various weights and lengths
- Auditing the accuracy of picked orders and loads
- IT capable: creating paperwork / stock enquiries
- Use of RF equipment during all processes
- Handling, checking and filling in of paperwork
- Keeping housekeeping to a high level
- Flexibility in working in other departments as necessary
- Adhering to all site policies (e.g. health & safety, PPE, etc.)
What do we expect from you?
- Suitable current MHE certificate (counter-balance)
- 2 years MHE experience carrying out similar picking / unloading activities
- Experience of delivering an excellent safety performance
- Numerate
- Flexibility towards working overtime as required

- 3 shift job role (2200-0600hrs, 0600-1400hrs and 1400-2200hrs)
