Are you a payroll pundit, a guru on Auto Enrolments through to SSP’s? Have you experience of working on multiple or high-volume payroll runs?
We are delighted to be assisting our client, a well-known professional organisation with offices across Cambridgeshire, to recruit for a payroll expert to take up the newly formed post of Senior Payroll Administrator.
Working alongside the Payroll junior – who you will be responsible for mentoring - you will jointly manage a range of businesses, guaranteeing the timely and accurate processing of their payroll runs and reporting of client payroll data.
Responsibilities will be:
• Perform all monthly payroll entries into the payroll systems and produce related reports, ensuring accuracy of salary, overtime, and bonuses where applicable.
• Accurate and timely submission of monthly/fortnightly/weekly RTI returns to HMRC dependent on client requirement.
• Production and upload of pension reports to relevant pension provider, always ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain and develop relationships with clients.
• Uphold records to ensure accurate and timely billing for payroll services.
• Process payroll year end and ensure accurate and timely year end submissions.
• Provide support with the preparation of annual P11D’s.
• Be available to give assistance to the payroll junior regarding client queries and have ownership of allocating work.
• Act as primary contact to provide advice and guidance on payroll and pension related issues to clients and colleagues.
This is a crucial role in the business. We are looking for those who have experience in either a payroll bureau or accountancy practice, or even a larger company where there are multiple payrolls.

• Highly numerate with strong attention to detail.
• Exceptionally organised with excellent attention to details and able to prioritise work within defined timelines.
• Have a flexible working approach to accommodate essential monthly tasks at key times.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to build rapport both internally and with external clients.
