Excellent opportunity for a Senior Penetration Tester to join a rapidly growing and highly skilled cyberSecurity Consultancy.

The role is predominantly home based although will include some travel to customer sites and attendance at periodic company meetings and team get-togethers.

Senior Penetration Tester
Home based with visits to client sites as required and periodic company meetings and team get-togethers
Up to £70,000 Per Annum

Your Skills / Background: 4+ years hands-on penetration testing experience and existing CRT qualification. You will have or be working towards OSCP or similar. You will also be a strong problem solver and communicator and a tenacious pen tester.

The Senior Penetration Tester Opportunity:

As Senior Penetration Tester, you will undertake a variety of penetration tests to support Cortida’s penetration testing services by working with our client’s management and technical teams to provide high quality network, infrastructure, application, device and cloud security assessments and quality reports to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Delivering high quality application, infrastructure, device, wireless and cloud penetration tests
+ Working with client teams to research potential vulnerabilities and then plan accordingly
+ Working with clients to research and identify new and emerging attack vectors
+ Conducting vulnerability assessment scanning and unauthorised host discovery exercises + Analysing findings and translating them into actionable recommendations
+ Delivering high-quality technical reports, outlining technical and business risk
+ Providing support to clients during on-going incidents
+ Creating and developing tooling, knowledge/threat libraries, methodologies and policies that ensure high quality and informed testing assessments are undertaken
+ Creating and developing internal documentation to ensure our reporting is meaningful
+ Authoring appropriate thought leadership papers, articles, online posts, and marketing materials

About You:

+ Strong academic background with an ability to learn and the desire to develop your professional skills and personally
+ Existing CRT qualification as a minimum, OSCP, CTM / CTL advantageous
+ 4+ years' demonstrable hands-on penetration testing experience
+ Exposure to a variety of security testing tools
+ Current technical understanding of security threats, trends and solutions
+ Strong demonstrated ability to take vulnerabilities and articulate the actual business risk along with good reporting writing and client presentation skills
+ Familiarity with Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications, CREST, Tigerscheme and Cyberscheme
+ Knowledge of firewalls and other security network products
+ Passionate about technology, security assessments and pen testing
+ Tenacity to overcome technical challenges
+ Flexible and able quickly adapt to new situations
+ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
+ Strong customer facing skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders
