SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER (FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS)

Salary: £52,000 - £55,000 per annum pro rata

Reports to: Head of F&M Product (Fundraising Campaigns & Giving Platforms)

Contract type: 9 month fixed-term contract

Location: Stratford, London (working from the office 1-2 days in the office per week)

Hours: Full-time 35 hours per week

This is a unique opportunity to take on a critical role within Cancer Research UK's Fundraising & Marketing Team, leading on the management and development of product area strategy. This includes Stand Up To Cancer in partnership with Channel 4, supporter led Relay For Life as well as digital fundraising challenges, which total £50 million worth of income for our life saving research.

You will work closely and collaboratively with key teams across the directorate to plan, develop and implement improvements to meet fundraising targets with the ultimate aim of beating cancer sooner.

What will I be doing?

  • Leading on the planning, development and oversee the collaborative delivery of the agreed F&M product area strategy, vision, and activity, acting as product champion across the organisation

  • Working with key stakeholders, own and manage the fully loaded product P&L (Profit & Loss), making informed decisions and co-creating business cases on investment and resourcing required to meet contribution targets

  • Co-creating an innovative pipeline of product development projects to serve all product audiences; recognising and exploiting opportunities for growth

  • Taking ownership of the product roadmap, operational blueprint and relevant audience and product insight to help inform operational decision making

  • Working collaboratively with Programme Manager and subject matter experts in functional teams to develop operational plans, in line with F&M portfolio priorities, and product KPIs and shared objectives

  • Working with the Programme Manager to manage the prioritisation and workflow of annual ops plans, flexing as necessary across functional and operational delivery teams

  • Relationship managing key suppliers, external third parties and key stakeholder for the product area

  • Owning and managing the products through their lifecycle, collaborating with the Product Development team to ensure product positioning remains relevant to the target audience and market conditions, and takes advantage of new opportunities for growth

  • Maintaining and refreshing Product analysis, research and insight, working collaboratively with other insight and analysis areas and commissioning insight to feed into product strategy.

What skills are you looking for?

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and management skills, with the ability to quickly get buy in and work collaboratively

  • Significant experience of budget management, P&L management

  • Relevant experience of developing business cases

  • Relevant experience of translating consumer and market insight into product strategy

  • Relevant experience of team management and leadership

  • Proven ability to work well under pressure, with demonstrable strategic/innovative thinking skills

  • Problem solving skills. Ability to overcome issues, propose solutions and make sound commercial decisions

  • Ability to identify new opportunities, and exploit market group

  • A flexible approach, to comfortably manage ambiguity and changing environments/contexts

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, creating connections to make great things happen
