SalarySenior Performance Test Consultant
Ony of my clients is looking for Senior Test Consultant for a 6 month Inside IR35 contract with a possible extension. This is a hybrid working role which can be based out in Reading or Portsmouth.
As a Senior Performance Test Consultant, you will exhibit exceptional non-functional testing proficiency alongside development expertise. Your role will involve delving into performance engineering, with a deep understanding of software architecture, and the ability to apply your tool and technique knowledge across all stages of the Performance Testing life cycle.
You should demonstrate tool and language agnosticism, adept at discerning the optimal approach and tooling/language for each task. Communication skills are paramount, as you'll be responsible for conveying test plans and results to senior stakeholders within the business.
Key Skills:
- Defining and creating Performance Test frameworks, plans, and approaches
- Collaborating closely with stakeholders on performance projects
- Executing performance and load tests on intricate projects, utilizing the most suitable tools and approaches
- Analysing Performance Test results, interpreting metrics to ensure optimal application performance and availability.
- Compiling and presenting test execution reports and closure reports
- Understanding system architecture in an event-driven platform and Azure services
- Demonstrated ability to overcome challenges.
Essential Experience:
- Utilization of Performance Test tooling such as JMeter (with adaptability to various tools and technologies)
- Proficiency in development languages like Java, JavaScript, Python
- Root cause analysis skills
- Integration of testing within Azure development pipelines
- Experience with Azure Cloud technology.
- Working experience in Agile teams
Desirable Experience:
- Functional test automation proficiency using Java.
- Experience with Selenium test automation/Cucumber/Gherkin/Maven
