We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer to work on Parkopedia's in-car commerce platform which enables drivers to pay for fueling, tolling, EV charging and parking from within their vehicle.
This role will also involve working closely with third party service providers and building out abstractions over these APIs which are exposed to our own clients. This requires a deep understanding of API development and design and experience interfacing with disparate systems.
We are part of a global team, but this role is primarily based in our London office, which is a short walk from London Bridge. Parkopedia maintains a flexible policy with regards to location however the role will require a proportion of time to be spent at the London office.
Requirements
- Experienced in breaking down monolith codebases
- Track record architecting and deploying solutions on Amazon AWS
- Comfortable with networking protocols, load balancing, performance, debugging APIs
- Experienced and seasoned as a senior developer with PHP and Laravel
- Proven experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of API security, common exploits and secure development practices, including the OWasp top 10.
- Strong MySQL competencies, designing schema, performance tuning and administration/troubleshooting in a replicated environment.
- Commercial experience with Linux, Docker, Docker Compose and git
