Your new role
The postholder will work with a wide range of colleagues, including Project Management Communities and those required to sign-off Whole Life Cost (WLC) calculators to secure accountability and transparency of the total cost of ownership of systems, services, and applications. The role holder is responsible for:

• Become a subject-matter expert (with training) to quality-assure WLC calculators within the WLC Application (MS Power Apps and Power BI). This provides transparency and accountability of the total cost of ownership of systems, services, and applications.
• Maintain WLC data quality, producing reports and verifying the data. Providing regular projections to feed into the business planning process and Spending Reviews.
• Support the Business Planning and Performance Lead:
• Supporting the development and ongoing reviews of the Business Plan.
• Support and drive the Project Management Community and other stakeholders to navigate through the WLC process and uphold their WLC responsibilities.
• Proactively share knowledge and educate others on WLC principles and process.
• Answer questions from a wide range of WLC stakeholders. Questions relating to the WLC principles, process and challenges to the annual recharges which include sourcing of relevant evidence.
• Provide specialist knowledge (following training) and support to continuously improve and adapt processes, tools, records, and documents across the full breadth of work within the team.
• Provide direction, support and training to other staff within the team to maintain the standards for collation and quality assurance of the WLC data.

• Uses own initiative to solve problems and is self-motivated.
• Excellent at Planning and prioritising within their own scope of work.
• Proficient in processing, managing and sharing data appropriately for a variety of purposes.
• Excellent reporting skills.
• Experience of working with Power BI and MS Excel.
• Ability to influence Project Management communities.
• Skills and expertise in training, coaching and sharing knowledge on complex subjects with others. For example: Demonstrations to groups of approx. 25 people using MS Teams.
• Excellent numeracy.
• Strong communication skills are essential, both written and verbal.
• Have great attention to detail.
• Able to write, continuously improve and document processes.
