AWE is currently recruiting for a Senior Planning Manager to support the Group Leader in the management of the XTC order book and strategic lookahead of demand and capabilities. To be successful in this role you’ll be customer focused, with excellent stakeholder management.
Location - Reading/Basingstoke area
Package - £54,900-£86,800 based on skills and experience

Key Accountabilities:
- Work with multiple programmes to define and consolidate the project requirements which XTC need to deliver
- Ensures that performance metrics, procedures, processes, and systems are developed, implemented and of a quality that delivers against our Programme requirements
- Work within the production function to create an executable integrated master production schedules and tactical plans that support the shop floor
- Optimising production capacity via planning controls and lean principles within the manufacturing areas
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of leaders and influencing others at specialism or functional level to create and deliver our operational plans
- Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure material requirements are planned and available to support production operations.
- Ensure that staff and processes operate within the safe operating envelope within the manufacturing areas
- Lead the team to deliver the production plans and material management and allocation.
- Task management of logistics and supply chain staff within the Tech Centre to meet production and material management requirements
- Report to Tech Centre management on progress, issues, and performance
- Provide strategic and tactical advice to Tech Centre management on the effective delivery of production targets
- Report via Tech Management any capacity constraints to allow for priority programme decisions to be made
- Delivery via the production planning and materials management processes within the Process Framework
- Work as part of the Tech Centre management team to deliver production targets
- Promote and sponsor operational excellence and drive all actions aimed at continuous process improvement
- Works effectively with others and building required relationships and interfaces to support delivery of the Programme
- The development and maintenance of strong relationships with US and other international partners
- Responsible for identifying, defining, and solving complex management problems in a dynamic environment
