Senior Plant Fitter

Allstaff Recruitment are currently seeking a Senior Plant Fitter based in Bedford for a reputable professional organisation.

Summary of theSenior Plant Fitterrole

Salary: GBP34,000 -GBP36,000 per annum
Location: Bedford
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full-time.
Hours: 40 hours, Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm, Fridays 8:00am - 3:30pm

The role

As the Senior Plant Fitter your role will involve the following important duties:

• Servicing, repairing and maintenance of utility winches, trenchless utility equipment and other small to medium sized items of plant.
• Preparing equipment for demonstrations.
• Provide support and mentoring for less experienced Plant Fitters.
• Inspect new and used equipment ready for delivery.
• Diagnose and repair faults.

The experience required

As a successful Senior Plant Fitter you will have the following:

• Qualified Plant Fitter with an NVQ (or similar) in Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years experience within a Plant Fitter role previously.
• Previous experience leading and training junior fitters.
• Full UK Driving licence.
• Familiarisation with engines and working on brakes.
• Some welding experience.
