Senior Platform Engineer - FinTech Disruptor (AWS/Terraform)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the fastest-growing FinTech companies in the South West of England as a Senior Platform Engineer. You'll be part of an established team driving a major cloud migration project, leveraging AWS services and Terraform to transition the company's infrastructure from on-premises to the cloud.

The Role:
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, implementing, and maintaining the company's cloud infrastructure on AWS. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration, scalability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions using AWS services and Terraform
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth application deployments and integrations
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
• Actively participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices
• Monitor and optimise infrastructure performance, cost, and security
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Platform Engineering practices and processes

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or a similar role, with a strong focus on AWS and Terraform
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture principles, including high availability, scalability, and security
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, preferably with Terraform
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, containerization)
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
