Job description

Our local authority client is seeking a dedicated Senior Policy Planner to facilitate housing, planning, and regeneration growth within the borough. This is a contract position that promises rich professional engagement and strategic planning activities, ideal for individuals passionate about place-making and community-focused development.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the development and execution of the Castle Point Plan, ensuring it meets strategic, community-driven outcomes.
  • Working collaboratively with team members, stakeholders, and partners to align with the borough's vision and objectives.
  • Facilitating broad-based community engagement to ensure that planning policies are inclusive and effectively address local needs.
  • Adapting planning strategies based on robust engagement and evidence.

Job Requirements:
  • Experience in planning policy with a focus on urban regeneration and community development.
  • Ability to lead and influence strategy and policy development effectively.
