Senior Power Electronics Engineer

We are currently hiring for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to be based 1 day per week in Milton Keynes.
Our client is an exciting technology start up looking to grow their team of Engineers out ahead of 3 key projects.
They are on the cusp of commercialising the most efficient power technology on the planet with applications in multi-billion dollar strong-growth global markets ranging from super-efficient lighting to data centre computing.

The key responsibilities of this Senior Power Electronics Engineer job based in Milton Keynes are:

• Design, development, and test of Power Electronics according to customer/project requirements.


• SMPS design and working with Invertors/power bridges.


• Carrying out EMC testing work.


• Translate project requirements into a design, development, and test plan under the supervision of a senior engineer.


• Collaborate with the Software Team to aid functional requirements.


• Build and verify circuit design with simulation and analysis.

The successful applicant will have a combination of the following:

• 5+ years' experience with medium power SMPS Design


• Experience working with mains rated power supply design


• Exposure to LLC Converter/Phase Shifted Full Bridge (PSFB)


• Experience working with Power Electronics for Lighting or Data Centre environments


• Digital control - micro/embedded systems/fpga experience would be a huge bonus but not necessary.
