Senior Power System Restoration Engineer

Our client is an independent electricity systems operator for Northern Ireland who are at the forefront of innovation in the energy industry, enabling the transition towards a low-carbon, technology-enabled smart future. Applications are invited for a Senior Power System Restoration Engineerto join the System Support & Analysis Operations team.
Your new role
The role holder will support the maintenance of the current Power System Restoration Plan and development of the Power System Restoration Plan for the future evolution of the N. Ireland Power System. You will plan and witness black start tests, provide analysis and reporting of tests and events to coordinate Power System Restoration plans.

What you'll need to succeed

• An Engineering Degree or equivalent with demonstrated technical proficiency
• Power system industry expertise and experience
• Proven track history of maintaining deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Exemplary technical analysis and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and reporting writing skills
• Strong understanding of the requirements of stakeholders and industry relevant to the role
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• Ability to successfully guide, persuade and influence others
