Senior Practitioner (Safeguarding at Adult Care Assessment and Triage Team)

As part an exciting new development, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Practitioner with a social work qualification to join the Adult Care Assessment and Triage Team. This role will include undertaking case work but will primarily focus on providing professional leadership and support to practitioners undertaking initial adult Safeguarding enquiries. The Senior Practitioner will also support with Care Act assessment and professional intervention.
This team undertakes a unique function in the department and provides support to a varied mix of cases, including exposure to some unusual, or uncommon casework. Casework within this service is completed in short timescales and so may be of interest to applicants who enjoy extensive variety and the satisfaction of quick outcomes.
We are looking to recruit the right person to join our established team which provides professional triage and assessment of Adult Social Care needs at the front door of Derbyshire Adult Care.
This is a temporary contract which would run until 31st March 2025.

The work is ordinarily office-based, as we undertake remote enquiries, assessment and triage. The team are based in Shand House, Darley Dale. We are continuing to offer a hybrid approach to working, so you will be able to work both in the office and at home as suits your needs and the needs of the service.
