An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Leaving Care team for a Senior Practitioner to join us. The position would suit an existing Senior Practitioner looking to broaden their knowledge in a new team or a Social Worker who is ready for the next step in their career. We are looking for people with a passion for working with Care Experienced young people. This post involves supervision of Personal Advisors.
The post offers, the chance to contribute to high quality service delivery, further develop strong partnership and cross service working and in collaboration with the social workers and personal advisors and innovate and build on the good practice that is already in place.

Working within the Leaving Care team you will develop relationships with young people who are Care Experienced. As a Senior Practitioner, you would be taking a lead on supervision of Personal Advisors, performance, practice workshops, and aspects of service development. We have stable and supportive management team and committed personal advisors, all who are aspirational for our Care Experienced young people. The team are compassionate with a great sense of community.
The successful candidate will have:
  • A degree in social care with significant demonstrable post qualification experience and current SWE registration
  • A good understanding of the legislative and regulatory regime of multi-agency statutory children’s services including Leaving Care.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability in care/pathway planning including where there is complexity.
  • Experience of supporting team members with their development and performance.
  • High motivation, energy and personal drive, resilient and demonstrating good emotional intelligence and self-awareness
