Senior Pricing Analyst
Salary: Up to £52,000 per annum, plus annual bonus
Location: London (Hybrid Working)

Our client, an esteemed Insurance Company, has been consistently recognized as a UK Top Employer for the past three years.
They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Pricing Analyst specialising in Personal Lines to join their team at their London office.
As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will report to the Lead Pricing Analyst, providing primary support and overseeing pricing reviews and adjustments for standard portfolios and key accounts.
Collaborating with the Underwriting team, Test Teams, and IT Developers, you will conduct thorough pricing analyses and offer recommendations to enhance profitable growth, as well as assist in implementing pricing structures.
Therefore, a strong grasp of personal lines market dynamics, pricing strategies, and underwriting principles, coupled with proficiency in Excel and SAS, is essential.
The ideal candidate will possess substantial General Insurance (GI) experience, preferably in Personal Lines, and demonstrate exceptional numerical skills, coupled with a curious mindset for effectively interpreting and manipulating data to drive business improvements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide pricing support to assigned Accounts under the guidance of the Lead Analyst.
- Conduct pricing reviews for standard portfolios and key accounts, analysing profile, mix trends, and performance metrics, including rating factors, new business acquisition, and renewal retention.
- Recommend pricing changes as necessary, liaising closely with Underwriting teams to address areas of poor performance and optimize profitability.
- Generate, monitor, and present management information to facilitate informed pricing decisions.
- Collaborate with Pricing and Development teams to pioneer new analytical methodologies and their implementation.
- Assist Underwriting teams in evaluating new, enhanced, or modified product covers and proposing appropriate pricing adjustments.
Skills/Experience required as a Senior Pricing Analyst:
- 1 or above in a Mathematical/Statistical/Science/Engineering degree
- Good knowledge of Excel and SAS
- Experience with Radar and R/Python are all desirable however not essential
- High degree of numeracy with good statistical skills to analyse trends and understand modelling techniques
- Understanding of pricing and underwriting principles and key performance indicators
- Good working knowledge of the personal lines market and how to manage account performance through the underwriting cycle.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical analyses to non-technical audience.
