ORS Consulting is an industrial process and risk management company providing advisory services to clients in multiple sectors, including energy transition, oil and gas, renewables, aquaculture, petrochemicals and other downstream industries. Our consultants support asset owners, engineering companies and equipment/system suppliers from our offices in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Malmö, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Esbjerg, Stavanger,& Oslo.
We are looking for experienced Process Engineers for both of our UK office locations.
Your Background
To be considered for a position at ORS, The following skills would be beneficial:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, typically a Master`s degree (MSc/MEng);
- Chartered engineer or working towards chartership with IChemE;
- Knowledge of Process Engineering fundamentals, ideally, with practical experience. Preferably, experience in a Chemical, Petrochemical, Design or Production environment;
- Experience using process simulation software’s (e.g. HYSYS, Flaresim, PHAST). Experience with dynamic modelling is also desirable;
- Knowledge of process risk assessment (e.g. HAZOP, HAZID and LOPA’s), and relevant process and safety standards (API, ISO, BSi, NORSOK etc.);
- Experience of working within a client-focused consultancy environment.
- You have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in team-based problem-solving environments and are fluent in English.
Responsibilities
- Performing Process Engineering and sizing calculations to industry standards and developing technical reports;
- Solving complex problems utilising process simulation software such as HYSYS, UniSim, Symmetry;
- Contribute to creating CTR’s and winning bids for work;
- Providing quality assurance of others work;
- Travel to support client projects around the world. Travel across the ORS offices may also be required for collaboration during projects;
- Continued support to develop engineering skills through to chartered status and beyond.
