The opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a Nuclear Power Engineering & Technical Solutions team who provide engineering and technical solutions across the full nuclear lifecycle up to Decommissioning, helping evolve credibility as new reactor technologies come to market - creating the UK s solutions across all reactor types and contribute to the world s global climate change challenge.
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be keen to take responsibility for design packages and support work on Advanced Nuclear Reactor projects including the RR Small Modular Reactor. These reactor programmes will develop modular reactor designs that are expected to become a key part of the UK s energy supply in the future, applying innovative techniques, modular construction and advanced manufacturing techniques to develop a solution that will drive down the cost of electricity generation from nuclear power. This post is for those with experience of working within highly regulated industries, preferably Nuclear.
The role
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for process design development, hazard identification studies and technical assurance of design reports.
This role will be on offer across the following locations: Gloucester, Middlesbrough and Knutsford, Warrington.
You will have the following qualifications and experience
- Degree qualified in Process Engineering (or related subject).
- Proven track record of leading process based projects to meet deadlines and high quality standards.
- Demonstrable design and review experience in a highly regulated environment.
- Chartered or Incorporated member (or working towards Chartership).
- Experience of front-end engineering design through to full life cycle project requirements.
- Knowledge of civil nuclear plant systems, structures and component and associated design and assessment guidelines.
- Excellent collaborative, innovative, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience of business development and growing process workstreams.
- Extensive stakeholder management skills.
- Capability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
