Duties include:

• Use technical equipment to carry out dimensional and surface inspection correct to design specification.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to research new technology and meet product development needs.
• Work with the engineering and validation team through the inspection method and measurement process to confirm requirements.
• Complete detailed inspection reports to communicate technical information clearly.
• Conduct equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Ensure health & safety is compliant to the IATF 16949 standard.

The successful candidate will have / be:

• Previous experience in the field of dimensional metrology or precision engineering.
• A degree in a relevant engineering discipline. A master’s degree is desirable.
• Used equipment such as manual and digital microscopes and contact and optical metrology measurement instruments.
• The ability to interpret complex GD&T specifications.
• Preferably worked in automotive sectors and have knowledge of fuel injection systems and diesel engines.
• The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
