What we’re looking for…

Key to this role will be to support and achieve defined Supply Planning processes and objectives. By working with the Site Capacity Planning Manager, the production site team & the wider Supply Planning team on delivering the weekly schedule, this role will aim to achieve, maintain, then exceed the Supply Planning team's key performance metrics. With two direct reports, this role will also be responsible for the development, training & coaching of the Production Planners on site.

Your responsibilities will include...

As Senior Production Planner your responsibilities will include;


To create & issue the site manufacturing plans for both the process room & the canning/bottling/packing lines.

  • Responsible for having all the raw materials and packaging available on site in line with that manufacturing plan.
  • Chairing the daily / Weekly production meetings with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Site Capacity Manager to foster a Continuous Improvement
    environment. 
  • The training, development and coaching of the Production Planners on site - ensuring you champion a continuous improvement environment.
  • Liaise with suppliers to create call-off schedules for the following week to support that week's production.
  • Ensuring high levels of communication within the Supply Planning team and drive process/activity alignment within the team.
  • Drive towards achieving & reporting on the team’s KPIs.
  • Ad-hoc requirements to cover other activities within the Supply Planning department.

What you’ll bring...

The successful candidate will have;

  • Educated in a related subject or have equivalent experience working in a similar role.
  • In depth knowledge of production planning - of MRP, scheduling, material planning, constraint planning & OEE.
  • Strong computer IT skills.
  • Significant level of experience in Microsoft Office / google spreadsheet, including an advanced level of Excel.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems. Eg JDE/Orchestr8/SAP/BPCS
  • Experience of leading & developing a team.
  • Analytical - ability to turn data into information in order to deliver the most efficient weekly schedule.
  • Problem Solver - ability for lateral thinking and quantitative problem solving sustained by a strong understanding of planning & manufacturing constraints.
  • Software Literate - can utilise ERP systems, analytical and data systems to maintain information integrity and accuracy within the supply planning systems and the relevant outputs.
  • Logical thinker - the person will have a logical thinking style
