This role is crucial in the production and development of our state-of-the-art instruments, which are pivotal in monitoring greenhouse gas emissions. Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Day to Day of the role:
- Assemble the instrument and its accessories, ensuring precision and quality.
- Conduct testing at various production stages to guarantee product reliability.
- Develop and validate assembly and test processes, as well as documentation.
- Supervise team members, ensuring adherence to defined processes.
- Assist in service and maintenance of instruments and accessories.
- Drive continuous improvement of instrument design and production processes.
- Participate in agile delivery methodology.
- Uphold best practices in health, safety, and environmental management.
- Manage inventory and provide prototyping and design support for R&D projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in manufacturing complex technical systems and supervising production teams.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and production techniques, particularly optomechanical assembly.
- Desirable experience in electronics assembly and soldering.
- Ability to identify production issues and suggest improvements.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to contribute significantly to a small, knowledgeable technical team.
