Our mission relies on a team full of inspiring people, and we’re looking for a Senior Programme Manager with a great understanding of the intricacies of the day-to-day management of projects within their programme to help define project scopes and resource and manage people to meet the needs of the business.

This is a full-time?role, 37.5 hours, split between our HQ in Willerby, HU10 and your remote work location.
Here’s why you’ll love this role…
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including national and local government bodies, at all levels within the organisation, to define and achieve mutual understanding of the scope.
- Plan the project(s) within the programme to ensure integration of all activities, identification of cross-portfolio dependencies, and understanding of critical paths and key milestones across simultaneous programmes or work, social value, stakeholder management and organisational change.
- Identification and, where appropriate, engagement of a project team with the skills and experience required to deliver each project within the programme.
- Direct and motivate the project team(s) to achieve the desired results, often using matrix management, and ensure effective communication is maintained throughout the delivery of each project.
- Ensure effective communication to the project teams, internal and external stakeholders, partners, suppliers, and customers. Manage proposed changes to project parameters – e.g., scope, budget, schedules.
- Manage contract change requests with senior stakeholders both internally & externally, including the ability to present the financial impacts and resolve contractual issues through information negotiation and formal contractual means.
- Ensure resource requirements across multiple programme activities are identified, planned and progressed to enable programme resource profile to be delivered.
- Manage the creation of, and presentation of, regular reporting of contract requirements including weekly, monthly & quarterly reports.
Here’s why you’ll be great in this role…
- Extensive programme and project management experience (7 years) ideally in the telecommunications industry.
- Professional qualification in project management, such as APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or another recognised qualification (e.g. Prince2 or PMP).
- Experience at ‘C’ level stakeholder engagement.
- Successful experience of translating analysis into practical implementation.
- Well-developed planning and organisational skills including scope and schedule management.
