Location - London or York (2-3 days office based)
Working collaboratively with their existing consultants and directors of consultancy, Senior Projectand Account Managers are responsible for delivery of high-value clients, projects, and relationships across multiple accounts.
You will strive for consistency and excellence, while encouraging and mentoring others to do the same, both within the project management team, and across the whole consultancy.
With a self-managed workload, you will run multiple accounts and can plan and deliver multiple projects from brief through to completion.
In this client facing role, you will take responsibility for account management and supporting the growth of your accounts. You will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders to define the project scope, accurately estimate project budgets and timelines, plan resources and delegate tasks.
You will be responsible for all communication and time management to make sure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
What you'll do:
- Support the planning and implementation of projects within the team.
- Develop and run a project plan and provide regular status reports. Manage small, medium, and large projects for any client regardless of the size or industry.
- Lead and manage accounts with ease and build, maintain and grow strong client relationships.
- Competently work across a variety of campaigns on multiple brands at the same time.
- Keep all owned project billing plans up to date and accurate and communicate any risks or changes in good time to the project and finance team.
- Have a great eye for detail and accuracy and brief others with full clarity, background, and advice, as well as receive and challenge briefs from clients and internal stakeholders alike.
- Work collaboratively: have excellent verbal, written and collaborative skills to work closely with other project managers, designers, editors, and consultants, as well as working directly with our clients.
- Understand, use, and mentor others on the use of Gantt charts.
- Stay current on industry trends
- Keep the head of Project Delivery or applicable director aware of any account issues or potential issues. Articulate well and quickly in the chain of command to gain the necessary support to objectives. Confidently highlight any issues within the consultancy, which may affect the quality of our output.
- Rethink models and jobs and take risks to propose changes aiming at adding value to the organisation and/or the project.
- Monitor and maintain server and Teams folders. Establish policies, procedures, and templates for project management.
- Manage situations of substantial change, conflict and impasse through good relationships and interaction with stakeholders, as well as using good negotiation techniques. Professionally explain situations of dilemmas and resistance impartially, without undermining relationships with existing stakeholders.
Your skills and experience
The ideal candidate will have three plus years' experience as a Senior Project manager with the ability to build client and colleague rapport easily. You'll have a strong focus on client relationships, delivery, timings, budget, and excellence and take a proactive approach to projects.
You'll be able to stay focused under pressure, be a great communicator - and never miss a deadline.
Ideally you will have an excellent understanding of IC as a field of expertise, a basic understanding of strategic insights & business strategy and a basic understanding of culture and change.
