About the Role – Senior Electrical Design Engineer
The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will work primarily within the residential and commercial sectors. You will have a strong ability of Electrical Design and engineering. A key ability is also to be able to work independently whilst supporting a wider team and making sure you can meet strict deadlines and requirements.
Candidate Attributes:
Honours Degree – Chartered an advantage but not essential
In-depth knowledge of Electrical Design and engineering techniques
Deep knowledge of ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS and EN Standards
Working knowledge of Autocad, Dialux, Amtech, and REVIT an advantage
Confident leading projects from the concept stage to completion
Communicative and able to liaise with clients, architects, and project managers
Manage the specification and design of Electrical Building Services systems for a range of projects
Excellent Microsoft Office skills
Key Activities:
Lead the Electrical Services design for a range of projects
Design and specification of electrical services for various types of buildings and sectors
Produce detailed schematics
Develop the Electrical Design standards within the organisation
Mentor junior engineering staff
Provide fully detailed tender packages and monitor installation/quality on site until project completion
Tender report/analysis/recommendations
Develop project scope with the design team/client
Confidently use Microsoft Office, Autocad, Dialux, Amtech, and REVIT
Produce budgets and reports for clients
Attend site visits
Take lead on projects with minimal input from the management team
