The Senior Project Engineer is a technical professional who leads strategic efficiency initiatives across our Advanced Wound Management (AWM) franchise. They will lead activities which contribute to significant cost reduction targets across the business, as well concept generation, business case development and project execution.

Please note: This is a 12-month, fixed term maternity cover position until 31st December 2024.
What will you be doing?
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulations including EU Medical Device Directive, MDSAP, UK regulations, and Quality Manual protocols (cGMP, cGDP, cGLP).
  • Demonstrate deep product/process knowledge and champion continuous learning.
  • Lead multi-functional teams for Cost Saving Initiatives.
  • Champion Ideas Unlimited and guide opportunities through evaluation.
  • Act as an SME, developing concepts and analysing data for robust business cases.
  • Conduct trials independently, guide junior members.
  • Ensure data integrity, product safety, and Quality standards.
  • Lead change control on complex projects with limited support.
  • Understand diverse company functions, present confidently.
  • Seek clarification and prioritise the company's and customers' needs with integrity.
What will you need to be successful?
Our successful candidate will have a degree in an engineering, science or project management discipline and a strong working background in a similar type role.
You will be a driven leader, mentoring junior team members and championing Health & Safety protocols, all requiring strong communication and coaching abilities.
As well as this, you should be experienced in managing complex projects independently and be skilled in project scheduling tools and risk assessment. Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis, Value Stream Mapping, Lean principles, Minitab and 6 Sigma are also required.
