Senior Project Engineer

FINTEC recruit is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with a marine civil contracting business operating in offshore wind renewable energy projects and vessel operations. This is a permanent position with salary in the GBP40,000 to GBP60,000 range depending on experience. This role is based in Cornwall. You will possess practical marine engineering skills, able to produce technical information/CAD drawings, engineering design for a wide variety of marine construction/renewable projects working closely with the Commercial Team. Leading a team of multi-skilled engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Management of multi-vessel operations on a diverse range of marine work scopes
• Lead and develop the existing Project Engineering resource.
• Lead a team of multi-skilled Project Engineers and be responsible for their professional development
• Ensure that Health and Safety is a priority at all times, always comply with method statements and standards and contribute to continuous improvement. Lead by example to promote and maintain an appropriate HSE culture.
• Deliver an efficient level of productivity and produce high quality results
• Assist the site team in the operation of marine assets and equipment;
• a client focused atmosphere within the team
• Provide commercial and technical support to the wider internal teams
• Planning and delivery of technical activities on assigned projects from tender through to completion

Skills and experience required for the Senior Project Engineer role:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in a marine engineering discipline
• Proven Project Engineering and commercial experience
• Ability to problem solve while ensuring an emphasis on quality is maintained
• Ability to support several projects simultaneously
• Excellent written communication skills
• Computer literacy with CAD skills.
