Astute’s Nuclear team is exclusively partnering with a leading automation and information management specialist working across various technical regulated industries, with a commitment to professional development and sustainability to recruit a Senior Project PCS Engineer to join the projects team at their Middlesborough site.

The strategically important Senior Project Process Control Solutions Engineer role comes with a salary of up to �53,000 dependant on experience and the opportunity to work on leading projects within the sector.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Project Manager you will:

* Assist in the design and implementation of key process control solutions for customer projects across the Nuclear, Life Science, Chemical and Manufacturing sectors.
* Participate in all project lifecycle activities, ensuring seamless execution of these process control solutions from concept to commissioning. Working in line with all company quality management systems.
* Contribute to fault-finding, preparation of design specifications and reports, software programming, and testing of specific software and firmware functions.
* Offer technical support and consultancy to internal and external users.
* To deputise for Project Managers where required, to take control of small projects or sub-projects.
* Collaborate with colleagues and project teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with the highest level of quality.
* Support senior members of engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle, providing technical direction across the documentation, design, software management and development as well as installation and commissioning.
* Assist in proposal production and specification development.
* Maintain and develop customer relationships in a highly professional manner.
* Enhance the reputation of ITS by delivering outstanding service and support.
* Report directly to Project Managers and company Directors on project performance and delivery.
* All other duties as required.

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

* Previous experience leading a team of engineers, working in a Senior Project role.
* Experience working within the Nuclear sector or another highly regulated technical industry.
* Qualified with a Computer-related degree.
* Strong experience working with mainstream PLCs and SCADA systems such as Siemens Suite, Rockwell, Delta V etc.
* Good understanding of financial and operational project requirements including planning, time management and documentation skills.

The BIS Project Engineer role would suit someone who is:

* Able to communicate effectively both formally and informally across internal and external teams.
* Capable of working autonomously and as part of a team.
