Senior Project Engineer (Contract Position)
Our client is a leading player in the food production industry, committed to delivering high-quality and innovative products to consumers worldwide.
With a focus on sustainability, efficiency, and excellence, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.
We are looking for a skilled Senior Project Engineer with a proven track record in overseeing and managing engineering projects within the food production sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects ranging from £20k to £3million in value, from conception to completion, while adhering to industry regulations, safety standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
* Lead and manage engineering projects, ensuring successful and timely completion within scope, budget, and quality parameters.
* Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against milestones.
2. Engineering Expertise:
* Provide technical expertise in food production processes, equipment, and systems.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimise engineering solutions that enhance production efficiency and product quality.
3. Risk Management:
* Identify potential risks and challenges associated with projects and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
* Proactively address and resolve issues to minimise project disruptions.
4. Regulatory Compliance:
* Ensure that all engineering projects comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
* Work closely with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
* Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external vendors to achieve project objectives.
* Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing concerns.
Qualifications:
* Relevant Engineering and Project Qualifications.
* Proven experience as a Project Engineer, preferably within the food production industry.
* Strong knowledge of food processing equipment, automation, and manufacturing processes.
* Excellent project management skills, with a focus on delivering results within scope, budget, and schedule.
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards in the food industry.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Experience with MS Projects and AutoCAD.
This role will be an initial 6-month contract.
