About My Client
Located in Titchfield, Hampshire, my client's Aerospace business stands as a global leader in aerospace fuel systems. They pride ourselves as a premier supplier of fully integrated fuel systems for fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. The Titchfield facility boasts extensive fuel and air system test facilities, facilitating comprehensive testing across a range of conditions with various fuel types.
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and qualifying new electro-mechanical fuel system components while providing support for existing in-service products. You'll lead and coordinate internal and external technical resources to ensure the successful delivery of projects in adherence to specifications, timelines, and budgets. Serving as the technical point of contact for our customers, you'll also contribute to the development of long-term customer relations.
In this dynamic, fast-paced environment, we seek individuals with outstanding organizational abilities and the initiative to work autonomously. While prior experience in aerospace engineering is advantageous, we welcome applicants from diverse high-technology engineering backgrounds.
Essential Functions:
To support the development of electro-mechanical Fuel System Components throughout the program lifecycle:
- Lead electro-mechanical engineering projects, overseeing qualification tests and providing technical input to ensure on-spec, on-time, and on-budget deliverables.
- Understand customer requirements and ensure seamless design implementation.
- Develop and manage detailed engineering plans in alignment with top-level program plans and my client's gate review process.
- Coordinate internal and external resources, providing technical leadership for project success.
- Act as the primary technical contact for customers, fostering and enhancing long-term relationships.
- Ensure timely and consistent communication on project progress, impacts, and changes.
- Lead failure investigations associated with fuel system products.
Experience Required:
Good Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or equivalent) OR an apprenticeship plus relevant technical experience.
Skills:
- Professional engineering experience in aerospace or equivalent high-technology industries.
- Experience in product design, testing, and qualification.
- Strong report writing and problem-solving skills.
